Durham Council of PTAs invited DPS Risk Management Department and Security Team to talk about the difference between lockdowns and lockouts and what else DPS and our community can do to safeguard our children. A Parent Workshop on "How to Keep Your Children Safe in the Digital World"

Durham Council of PTAs, Brogden Middle School PTA, and the Durham Youth Relationship Violence Task Force will present a training on keeping your children safe when using computers, phones, and other digital devices. Technology is changing rapidly and our children are continually bombarded with difficult choices. This workshop will address issues of privacy, social media, texting, and internet safety. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and learn strategies for working with their children to ensure their safety and well-being on- and off-line.
